Fans set their phones to answer with the voices of their favorite hip hop artists, and greet them with the faces of Hollywood’s most beloved celebrity actors. It has also been a momentous year for Zed’s U.S. business. On December 10th the company announced that it has facilitated nearly 100 million ringtone and wallpaper downloads since its founding in 2001. This comes on the heels of the company’s transition from 9 Squared to Zed after it was acquired by the global digital entertainment pioneer early last year. To top off 2008, Zed’s Brian Casazza, chief executive officer of U.S. operations, was named one of the Denver Business Journal's “Forty Under 40” for his for outstanding achievements in the mobile entertainment industry and his community contributions.
